Frequently Asked Questions:
- Do I need my own gun? For the CPL class it is recommended, however I do have a limited number of pistols for rent. First come first served. For all other class offerings you will need your own gun. See class descriptions for other requirements.
- Do I need shooting experience? No! CPL and Pistol Fundamentals classes are designed around newer shooters with little to no experience. Many CPL holders fire their gun for the first time in class (not recommended). If you're looking for some range time beforehand, check out our private coaching!
- What do I need to bring to class? Each class description has a list of what's required for class day. Please refer to the list for the class you wish to attend.
- Will the CPL class take the full 8 hours? Yes. Michigan requires 8 hours of instruction, 5 classroom and 3 on the range. Some of the range exercises such as loading/unloading and malfunction/stoppage clearing will take place in the classroom. This saves time outdoors in case of inclement weather.
- Refunds? Yes. If you are unable to make a class you're enrolled in for any reason please let us know as soon as possible. If it's beyond 48hrs of class you will receive a full refund. After the 48hr window you'll receive a refund minus a $25 cancellation fee. You are also able to roll to another class date in either case, no fee.
- Will class be canceled due to inclement weather? No. Dress for the weather. We only stop for lightning or extreme winds.
